September 16, 2009Those of you who are planning a wedding in Johannesburg at the moment might be aware of the “Rock around the Cradle” event that was held this past Saturday. Five of the big wedding venues in the Cradle of Humankind area (Toadbury Hall, The Moon & Sixpence, Casalinga, Oakfield Farm and Avianto) got together and had a weekend viewing for prospective to-be-marrieds looking for a venue. I was asked by Eve of Splendid Affairs to come and photograph the tables she’d designed for Toadbury Hall. Here are some of them!

And because a post is not a post without a picture, here’s one I took lying underneath a tree at the botanical gardens a couple of weeks ago. I’m not the biggest fan of winter, but I love the intricate network of bare branches against the blue sky!
